Today, Jerry Picou and I dedicated a few hours to fishing, resulting in a delightful day on the water. Jerry reeled in the largest red, measuring nearly 30 inches, while I caught the largest keeper, a big sheepshead, as Jerry's redfish exceeded the keepable size limit! There is speculation about an impending cold front next week, which I will believe when I see it. Regardless, we are looking forward to cooler weather ! For anyone planning to visit Cocodrie for fishing in the next few months, it is recommended that you start making plans.
All fish were caught under Four Horsemen Tackle cork with live shrimp! My fishing rod of choice is a berkley medium to heavy because you never know whats on the other end of the line around here!
Don’t forget when you are in Cocodrie fishing, CoCo Marina’s restaurant has a great chef who can cook up your catch! The whole staff goes out of their way to make your fishing adventure an epic one! Book their referred charters or bring your own boat but definitely make Coco Marina a destination for your fall fishing this year!
